Healthy 365 Suite: Comprehensive Health Platform Enhancement
End-to-End UX Design Across Singapore's National Health Ecosystem
The Health Promotion Board (HPB) needed comprehensive enhancements across the entire Healthy 365 platform to better support Singapore's national health initiatives and HealthierSG integration. The challenge involved designing across multiple tracks—Goals & Challenges, Health & Wellness Series, Events, Rewards, Grow Well, and Age Strong—while ensuring cohesive user experiences that support diverse health objectives. Each track required individual stakeholder management, concept testing, and user validation, with designers expected to conduct independent landscape research to defend design decisions across various levels of management.
I spearheaded UX design with focused ownership of Goals & Challenges and Events tracks, while overseeing my team's work across other initiatives. My direct involvement in goal-setting mechanisms and event booking flows supporting HealthierSG integration required sophisticated stakeholder management, with designers expected to conduct independent landscape research and present compelling justifications for design decisions to various levels of management and stakeholders. On top of Healthy 365 work, we also required to conduct HCD studies. I won pitches for comprehensive research across parenting, seniors, Malay outreach, and Indian outreach initiatives, which were then handled by our lead researcher to deepen understanding of diverse user needs.
The project delivered enhanced user experiences across launched Healthy 365 tracks with improved goal-setting mechanisms, streamlined event booking flows supporting HealthierSG initiatives, and culturally-sensitive features for different demographic groups. Over two years, I built and optimized the team by replacing designers who weren't the right fit and training several from intern level, developing deep understanding of what skills and mindset this role requires. The comprehensive research studies provided HPB with deep insights into user behavior across different life stages and cultural contexts, informing future health promotion strategies. My occasional Senior UXD title reflected the hands-on approach—working in the trenches with my team to understand what's really needed and fix things from the ground up, rather than managing from a distance.
